Note: an "condens can" is a can for condensed milk - a home made piggy bank ;-)
- "fayva" (favour) in this context means "look like, resemble"
- and "turn cornmeal" is something you eat (!) :salt, pork, onion, tomato, okra, salt cod, coconut milk, black pepper, cornmeal etc etc. In the cooking, you let it swell up then let it keep on cooking. Supposed to be "delicious". Yuk!
